Dear Moor Field Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! Our first day of school is on Tuesday August 8, 2023. This school year, our our AM classes will continue to hold class from 8:00 – 11:00 am and our PM classes will meet from 11:30 – 2:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There is no class on Fridays, however, our office will remain open and staff will be available should you have any questions or need any support.

A few reminders for families:

  • Parking lot is for staff parking only or handicapped (with placard), parents should park on 6th Street.
  • Student drop off is at the main gate. All other gates will remain closed.
  • If student arrives after 8:00am or 11:30am, parents must check in the office and an aide or staff member will take the student to class.
  • If student is out (sick, appt., etc.) parents should let the teacher know or call in to the office @ (626) 943-3562 to inform office staff.
  • If a student tests positive for COVID please let myself or school nurse know immediately and we will provide guidance aligned to current county guidelines.
    • A doctor's note is required if a student is out more than 5 days.
    • District policy states that a student must be fever free, no meds, for 24 hours before returning back to school.
    • Vomiting/Diarrhea, child should stay home so that other kids and staff are not exposed.
  • If student is using transportation services and is going to be out, parents need to notify transportation @ (626)943-3590.
  • If student will be picked up early, office staff will call the classroom and have someone bring the student to the office.
  • Extra clothes (i.e./ pants, socks, shoes) should be provided to school in case of an accident. If a child is not potty trained, parents should bring diapers & wipes.
  • Food Services. This year, students will be receiving free breakfast and lunch (lunch and snack for PM class). Parents still need to apply online. Students can also bring their own snacks from home.
  • If any contact/emergency or health information ever changes, please notify office staff @ (626)943-3562.

I am looking forward to continuing to work with Moor Field families and getting to know you all. Together we will continue to build a community that will create independent, confident, and successful learners. I am also dedicated to maintaining a safe school environment for all of our students. Should you have any questions, concerns, or have any input for me you are always welcome to contact me. You may email or call me at [email protected] or (626) 943-3562.
