Program Description

Welcome to Moor Field Early Education Center! We are the only preschool center in the Alhambra Unified School District of Los Angeles County. Moor Field’s mission is to offer a coordinated continuum of services to children with special needs ages three to five years. We are committed to providing high quality assessments, specialized services, and family support.

 

Moor Field offers several services in order to help our students learn, grow and thrive, including speech and language therapy, adapted physical education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and audiological services. We service students with a wide range of abilities with various diagnoses and eligibilities, including, but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), deaf and hard of hearing, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, speech and language impairment, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, genetic syndromes, and behavior disorders. There are six classrooms on our campus dedicated to serving the different needs of the students and their primary eligibilities and diagnoses.

 

Each classroom provides a language-rich learning environment consisting of a daily schedule of activities implemented by the teacher and classroom aides. Children participate in daily activities consisting of breakfast, lunch, toileting, Circle Time involving stories, music,  pre-academics, calendar concepts, the alphabet, counting, rhyming words, colors, shapes, and much more.
